The Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Course offers a new and innovative science-based first response framework that addresses the burden of scorpion stings in Southern Africa, by offering individuals the knowledge and understanding to assume a leadership role in their local community. The course consists of a presentation, interactive workshop, supporting resources, assessment and certificate.

Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Distance Learning offers professional development for career driven individuals. This course consists of a copy of the Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Book and Workbook. Participants study the book and complete the workbook in their own time and at their own pace wherever they may be. Online support is given during this study period. Workbooks are then assessed and certificates are issued.

This interactive workshop styled training offers an opportunity for the participants to ask any questions about venomous animals and their bites and stings. These questions will be used to direct the conversation during the session. Anything venom related goes, from bites and stings, how venom works, antivenom manufacture, first response, allergic reactions to venom, biotechnology, first response.
