Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Distance Learning offers professional development for career driven individuals. This course consists of a copy of the Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Book and Workbook. Participants study the book and complete the workbook in their own time and at their own pace wherever they may be. Online support is given during this study period. Workbooks are assessed and certifications are issued.
Distance Learning empowers individuals to assume a leadership role within their organisation and community. To be that person who can confidently take charge in the event of a scorpion sting. Essential leadership for areas where scorpions occur.
A Distance Learning pack is purchased by the participant. The Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Book and Workbook are couriered to the participant. The participant registers their workbook online, and will be added to a WhatsApp Support Group. The participant is free to ask questions about first response, scorpion identification and natural history. Supporting resources are given.
After completing the workbook, the workbook is couriered to Jonathan for assessment. The workbook is assessed and courier back to the participant with a printed certificate. Individuals are given 1 month from date of registration to complete the course.

After registering the workbooks, the participants are added to a WhatsApp Support Group specific to that lodge/ organisation. An onsite facilitator is nominated. The participants are free to ask questions about first response, scorpion identification and natural history. Supporting resources are given.
After everyone has completed the workbook, they are couriered to Jonathan for assessment. The workbooks are assessed and courier backed to the lodge with printed certification. Individuals are given 1 month from date of registration to complete the course.

Yes, if the partiicpant achieves 75% or more for the workbook then a certificate of competence is issued. If the participant achieves less than 75%, then they receive an certificate of attendance.
No, the workbook is designed for professional guides and career professionals, and offers a far deeper understanding of scorpion sting first response.
Yes! Just by completing the workbook, you will be able to respond competently in the case of a scorpion sting. Although this is the most cost effective method of training, please note that workbooks are not assessed and a certificate are not issued. However, your head guide or training manager may issue a certificate.
