Overview

The Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Course offers a new and innovative science-based first response framework that addresses the burden of scorpion stings in Southern Africa. It offers individuals the knowledge and understanding to assume a leadership role in their organisation and local community.

Course duration is 3 hours in length and consists of a presentation, followed by an interactive workshop. Participants write a multiple choice assessment, all participants will receive a certificate and supporting resources. This course is designed for career driven individuals and not suitable for young children. Children 13 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

It is not necessary to have a copy of the Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Book. Copies of the book and workbook will be available after the course.

Do participants receive a certificate?

Yes, all participants will receive a certificate. For public events, all participants who book by a certain date will receive a printed certificate, bookings after a certain date will receive a PDF certificate. These dates are dependant on individual events, the availability of a print shop. Check the event details for cutoff times (if any).
