
The Olive Lessor Thick-Tail Scorpion (Uroplectes olivaceous), is asSmall scorpion with an average length between 40mm to 50mm in length. Overall olive-green in colouration. The fingers on the pincers are lighter in colour, legs characterised by light and dark bands. Last 2 tail segments are granular in texture. Subaculeur tubercle is present. A common scorpion throughout their range, this species does not make a permanent shelter. Highly mobile in the environment. Often found in unusual places in the environment and home.

Stings from this small sized, highly venomous species are common. Very mobile in the environment, it’s darl colouration makes it difficult to see at night unless using a UV light. A sting typically results in class 2. Use first aid as per class 2 protocols. If concerned, contact a helpline for advice.
