Identification

This small scorpion has a distinct dark triangle on the carapace and darkened last 2 tail segments. My be misidentified as Uroplectes chubbi.

Sting from this small species of highly venomous scorpion are common in the Lowveld. Typical symptoms are class 1 or 2. Localised symptoms can be self treated using class 2 protocols. If concerned, contact a helpline for advice
