
The Jones’s Lessor Creeping Scorpion is a medium sized scorpion, average 50mm to 60mm in length, attaining 70mm in some areas. Colouration rangers from overall black, to dark brown with slightly lighter legs. They construct a near vertical burrow up to 21cm in depth in hard soils. Often muddy in appearance because of the clay soils into which they burrow. Very common in some areas.

Stings from this medium sized, weakly venomous species are not common. A typical sting from this species results in class 1 or 2 symptoms. Use first aid as per class 2 protocols.
