Rescue Expo 2026

Bryanston Market, 19th April 2026, 9am to 3pm

The Rescue Expo brings over 50 of Gauteng’s animal welfare heroes together at one venue

This April marks the 5th annual Rescue Expo in Johannesburg, and once again, over 50 of Gauteng’s rescue and rehabilitation organisations will gather in one space.

It’s a rare opportunity to walk around, meet the people behind the names, and learn about the animals they dedicate their lives to helping. And it’s not just about cats and dogs. There are groups working with donkeys, birds, bunnies, pigs, and even lions.

Some of the organisations confirmed include Barking Mad, FORA, CLAW, Friends of Free Wildlife, ARC Rabbit Assist, GSP Rescue, Pigs ‘n Paws, VaalPets, Rest Ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary, Cheeky Beaks, and Hartebeespoort Animal Welfare Society. That’s just to name a few.

Jonathan will be at the Rescue Expo

Pop in to my table and find out all about spider bites and scorpion stings in animals. I'll have some free resources that will help you reduce the chance of being stung by a scorpion, and ensure the best possible outcome for stings in humans and animals. I'll also have copies of my books for sale as well as free resources and it's an opportunity to ask those spider bite and scorpion sting questions you have always wanted to ask!
