Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Distance learning offers professional development for career driven individuals by focusing upon developing individuals to step up to the leadership challenge of scorpion sting first response within the context of the area of operation. Undertaken as a group or as an individual, participants complete the study material in their own time and at their own pace. Consists of the book, workbook, online support, workbook assessment and certification.
A Distance Learning pack is purchased by the participant. The Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Book and Workbook are couriered to the participant. The participant registers their workbook online, and will be added to a WhatsApp Support Group. The participant is free to ask questions about first response, scorpion identification and natural history. Supporting resources are given.
After completing the workbook, the workbook is couriered to Jonathan for assessment. The workbook is assessed and courier back to the participant with a printed certificate. Individuals are typically given 1 month from date of registration to complete the workbook.

After registering the workbooks, the participants are added to a private WhatsApp Support Group specific to that lodge/ organisation. From the group, an onsite facilitator is nominated to coordinate individuals. During their studies, members are free to ask questions about first response, send images for identification and ask about natural history. Supporting resources are given.
After everyone has completed the workbook, they are couriered to Jonathan for assessment. The workbooks are assessed and couriered backed to the lodge with printed certification. A report is emailed to the onsite facilitator. Individuals are typically given 1 month from date of registration to complete the workbook.

Yes, if the participant has registered for Distance Learning and achieves 80% or more for the workbook, a certificate of competence is issued. If the participant achieves less than 80%, then they receive a certificate of completion.
No, the workbook is designed for professional guides and career professionals, and offers a far deeper understanding of scorpion sting first response.
