Arachnid Course

Introduction

This practical course covers 4 major groups of arachnids including, spiders, scorpions, amblypygids and solifugids. Although this course focuses upon practical field work it also includes lectures, 150 page workbook and student presentations. Suitable for multi-day training such as lodge training, field guide training and environmental training organisations.

Structure

Course includes lectures, all training materials, writing and drawing instruments, refreshments and certificate. This course covers the following groups of arachnids:

• Spiders
• Scorpions
• Red Roman Spiders (Solifugids)
• Tailless Whipscorpions (Amblypygids)

Important

• Participants must be reasonably fit and mobile.
• This course is not suitable for children under the age of 13 years of age.
• Courses are limited to 24 people.
• No prior knowledge of arachnids is required.
• All training material is provided.
• Bring walking shoes, water bottle, hat, sun screen.
