The spider bite and scorpion sting first aid workshop is an exploration of the environment during which you’ll get to have a look at look at spiders and scorpions that inhabit the area. We’ll have a short lecture with visuals on medically important spiders and scorpions and their bites and stings. This workshop offers participants a fundamental understanding of spider bites and scorpion stings including identification, symptoms, first aid and where to get free medical advice if you ever need it.
Based upon the content of the Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Book, this 3 hour course consists of a presentation followed by an interactive workshop. Participants write a multiple choice assessment. All participants will receive a certificate. Supporting resources are available for all participants.
