Training can include distance learning and/or onsite training. Certificates are supplied for participants who fully complete the course or workshop. Suitable for field guides, trackers and lodge staff.
This practical activities that focus upon the 4 major groups of arachnids in a natural setting. Suitable for multi-day training such as lodge training, field guide training and environmental training organisations. Fieldwork activities focus upon the natural history of these animals and include pitfall traps, identification workshop and first response. Participant presentations can also be included into the course.
Distance learning consists of the Essential Scorpion Sting First response Book and Workbook. Participants are able to self study in their own time and at their own pace, or as a group. Distance learning can be facilitated onsite. The Essential Scorpion Sting First Response Book and Workbook are part of the Professional Development Program.
This programme brings together different components into a professional development programme. The essential scorpion sting first response course teaches the fundamentals of the scorpion sting first response framework. Course duration is 3 hours in length and consists of a presentation followed by an interactive workshop. Participants write a multiple choice assessment. All participants will receive a certificate according to their results. The pass mark for this course is 60%. Free supporting Resources are available for all participants.
